Indiana Machine Tools (IMT), manufacturer of high quality steel re-rolling mills, EOT cranes, mill stands and other rolling mill plant equipment. IMT also takes up installation of steel re-rolling mill plants that are capable of rolling out channels, angles, plates, hot strips, wire rods, etc. The production capacity of these plants varies from 20 tons to 300 tons a shift. Semi-automatic or fully automatic with automation system and a.c.variable speed drive systems; these plants are installed depending on the requirements of the clients.

GEAR COUPLINGS

Gear couplings are used for taking possible misalignment of shafts. Gear couplings save power and bearing breakdown. Gear couplings are made from En - 9 and forged steel. Currently IMT offers gear couplings in sizes ranging from nos. 106-112, that are suitable for 8" to 24" steel re-rolling mills.

All the machinery including straightening machines, gear couplings, TMT boxes, rotary shears, Billet shearing machines, are produced from high quality steel procured from Main Steel Plants, enabling to last long while withstanding the rugged operating conditions. IMT is proud to inform that ISO 9001-2000 has been certified by JAS. All the welding is done with latest machines and by Lyods certified welders and of radiography quality.

EOT CRANES

IMT specializes in manufacturing material handling equipment, mainly EOT cranes and Electric Hoists. EOT cranes are manufactured for Steel Plants / Rolling Mills / Workshops / Cement Plants, etc. EOT cranes are available in single girder / double girder and gantry cranes and confirm to various international standards. IMT has entered into partnership with 'DEMAG' for manufacturing EOT Cranes/structures for them as OEM.

SCRAP BASED STEEL PLANTS

IMT has tied up with the best Induction Furnace manufacturers and supplies and commission steel plants on turnkey basis both for production of Ingots and billets and for further rolling into various steel sections. We have installed a number of such steel plants, which are running very successfully throughout the world.

LATEST TECHNIQUES MILL STANDS

IMT manufactures latest techniques i.e.bearing type mill stands manufactured out of steel/c.i./steel fabricated and of very sturdy nature and consume very little electricity, thus saving on power/oil/fuel/labor and increase production at no extra cost. Our mill stands are designed for quick roll changing and require minimum maintenance and are offered with complete fitments.
