About UK Metals Expo 2024

By 2030, the metals industry aims to be a modern and progressive sector, providing high-quality, innovative, and competitively priced products to a diverse customer base. As the principal supplier to the UK’s leading manufacturers and infrastructure projects, and a prominent global importer and exporter, the industry faces unique challenges such as skill shortages, effective recycling, and post-Brexit trading. The UK Metals Expo will mark the first comprehensive gathering of the entire industry under one roof, endorsed by the UK Metals Council, its member trade associations, and various industry bodies. With a Governing Body chaired by Lord Rupert Redesdale, the event will drive major initiatives year-round, with discussions and presentations in the show floor theatres. The Expo will feature the entire metals supply chain, from primary metal manufacture and supply chain management to metal processing, fabrication, surface coatings, and recycling. Key themes such as Supply Chains, Innovation, Skills, Circular Economy, and Resources will shape the event’s agenda.
