Under this partnership, Koma Precision will be the sole distributor of D'Andrea's programmable U-axis heads in the United States and Mexico, providing manufacturers with the capability of precision turning and boring operations on vertical and horizontal machining centers.

Enhancing Machining Capabilities with U-Axis Heads
D'Andrea U-axis heads bring a rotary cut axis to vertical and horizontal machining centers, enabling turning operations without a dedicated lathe. While a traditional lathe spins the stock as a cutter moves along a contour, a U-axis head uses a programmable moving tool slider and the rotation of the machine spindle to cut a stationary part. This eliminates the need for additional setups or dedicated turning centers, optimizing productivity and reducing overall costs.

Koma Precision offers two models to cater to a wide range of machining needs:

TA-Center:

Both require an active U-axis in the machine controller, which Koma Precision can facilitate.
