JSW Steel Q3 output up by 43 per cent

JSW Steel today said it has registered a 43 per cent growth in crude steel production at 3.86 million tonnes in the third quarter of the ongoing fiscal.

"JSW SteelBSE 0.48 % reported 3.86 million tonnes (MT) crude steel production in Q3 FY 2016-17, a 43 per cent growth over the corresponding quarter of FY 2015-16," it said in a BSE filing.

The production of flat rolled products increased by 52 per cent to 2.83 MT, while production of long rolled products increased by 18 per cent at 0.74 MT in the October-December period of 2016-17, it said.

For the 9-month period (April-December) of 2016-17, the company reported crude steel production of 11.70 MT -- 25 per cent growth over the year-ago period, the filing said.
