2016 Steel Horse Rally Turns In Record Numbers

17 May 2016

A rainy start to the weekend of the Steel Horse Rally had little effect on the economic boom it brought to the River Valley.

The two-day event consisted of 25,000 bikes and 37,500 total people attending.

Steel Horse Rally staff estimated an $8.3 million economic impact from the weekend, a 95 percent increase from what it achieved in 2015.

The Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce was not available for comment on its official estimate of the bike rally’s economic impact.

The 3rd Annual Steel Horse Rally will be May 5-6, 2017.
