Harsco Corporation today announced that its Metals & Minerals division has signed a seven-year contract to provide onsite logistics services at Outokumpu’s stainless-steel site in Tornio, Finland. Under the terms of the $28 million agreement, Harsco will provide scrap transport using a fleet of fuel-efficient and technologically-advanced trucks. The Tornio site is one of Outokumpu’s four integrated plants, and specializes in producing high-performing stainless-steel grades.

Nucor Corporation announced today that it will build its new state of the art steel plate mill in Brandenburg, Kentucky, located along the Ohio River southwest of Louisville.
