Introduction:

INOX Air Products (INOXAP), India’s largest manufacturer of industrial and medical gases has been awarded a contract by Tata Steel for setting up 2 Air Separation Units (ASUs) at Tata Steel’s Meramandali Plant, located in Dhenkanal district of Odisha.

Features:

Each of the two ASUs will have the capacity to produce 1800 Tons of Oxygen per day, besides Nitrogen and Argon. The ASUs will also have a provision to generate rare gases. The ASUs will be commissioned with an investment of around Rs 1300 Crores, making it the single largest Greenfield investment ever made by INOX Air Products. INOXAP’s first-ever collaboration with Tata Steel would coincide with an ongoing steel capacity expansion for the renowned steel major.
