Skyline Steel, a Nucor company, is expanding operations in Iuka, Mississippi with an investment of $15 Million.
Features:
The expansion involves the addition of new equipment, enabling the company to produce straight-seam electric resistance welded pipe for the same purposes. The company’s Iuka location currently manufactures large diameter spiral-welded pipe for foundations, bridges, wharves, piers and more.
The company is investing $15 million and creating 15 new jobs at its plant that currently employs 45 workers in Iuka. As an incentive, MDA provided assistance for the relocation and installation of equipment.
“Mississippi’s existing businesses, like Skyline Steel, are at the core of the state’s economy. When they grow and create new jobs for the state’s workforce, they are not only investing in their business but strengthening the local community and economy,” Governor Phil Bryant said.
