The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and the Danish Steel Institute (DSI) have the pleasure of inviting you to join us in Copenhagen for the Nordic Steel 2019 conference, which is the 14th Nordic Steel Construction Conference taking place 18-20 September 2019.
The Nordic Steel Construction Conference is a conference with 50 years of proud traditions. The conference series started in Stockholm in 1970. Since then, the conference has circulated between the four Nordic countries and held every three to four years joining academia and practitioners. The previous conference held in Finland in 2015 gathered Nordic as well as European and international scientists, representatives of steel manufacturers, steel wholesalers, contractors, consultants, architects, etc. It was and will yet again be a great success.
This international Nordic construction conference on steel offers an important platform to present and discuss a wide range of topics related to a great variety of research, design and construction activities. Please have a look on the list of topics we expect to discuss. With participants from all over the world in the previous conferences, the Nordic Steel construction conference is an important event for both Nordic and international steel researchers, PhD-students, engineers and designers, attracting international delegates from all over the world. Young researchers are also especially welcome and encouraged to present their new ideas and research.
The Nordic Steel 2019 conference will present high quality papers at the forefront of steel research and give all participants a great opportunity to gain state-of-the-art knowledge as well as the possibility of sharing and discussing ideas and developments with steel experts. The conference proceedings disseminate the papers with the extensive knowledge presented during the conference. Based on reviews of the scientific committee we will select the best papers. We will treat delegates with Nordic traditions.
Networking is important as well as renewing old acquaintances. Nordic Steel 2019 offers a multitude of possibilities and opportunities to network. A great way would be to stroll through the Tivoli gardens for a drink or a dinner together with colleagues from around the world.
