About International Stainless Steel Expo 2024

The domestic stainless steel demand in India is projected to reach 20 million tons by 2047, requiring a sustained CAGR of 7.2% and an increase in per capita consumption from 2.5 kg to a more global average of 8-9 kg. Currently, the industry operates at approximately 60% of its installed capacity of 6.8 million tons, indicating room for growth in the short to mid-term. However, achieving these ambitious targets will require optimizing existing capacities and gradually expanding new ones to meet the rising demand and remain competitive.

The industry faces challenges such as sustainability, rising input costs, the need to develop new markets, and the imperative for technological upgrades, all of which will exert ongoing pressure. This highlights the necessity for a platform where industry stakeholders can come together to share knowledge, forge new partnerships, attract investments, engage with new customers, and adopt technologies that enhance efficiency and profitability.
