(NASDAQ/GS: STLD) today announced the successful restart on July 28, 2023, of the hot mill at its Sinton Texas Flat Roll Steel Mill after an unplanned outage began on July 1, 2023. The outage related to caster shear equipment issues, which the team has successfully addressed. The company continued to operate Sinton's cold mill and downstream value-added flat rolled steel coating lines during the outage.
