Electrical steel

Our commitment to sustainability allows us to produce a higher performing electrical steel. For example, BioEnergia, our responsibly-managed eucalyptus forestry in Brazil, provides us with a charcoal replacement for coke. This results in lower levels of sulfur and other contaminants which, when combined with various process parameters, lets us improve the texture and magnetization of our electrical steels. Along with our ongoing commitment to developing ultra-low core losses, it all adds up to better performing hydro and power generators.
