Our rapid prototyping service offers our clients the capability of creating a “test part” before placing an order for a full production run. By taking a CAD drawing and using techniques such as 3D printing or additive layer manufacturing we can construct a model of a particular part or assembly of parts. We can then analyze and test the prototype, make any adjustments necessary to the design, and begin the larger job of machining a full run of the part. This allows us one more step in providing a higher level of precision and quality in our products that we stand for.
3D PRINTING & ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
3D printing has made certain advances in recent years which has become a real benefit to small parts manufacturing. By using a three-dimensional computer design, a 3D printer will deposit material in layers to make the three-dimensional object a reality. Due to the speed of which the printer is able to do this, it gives the machine operators and engineers the capability to quickly render a part and test the design before milling it out of metal. This not only saves time and money for the client and the shop, but allows for quick testing and advancement of ideas that may have been too costly to undertake in the past.
