WIRE EDM

Livingston Tool has four wire EDMs capable of cutting up to 16” tall and a 20” by 14” cutting area. We can use a max of .012 dia wire or down to .002 dia for special applications. Wire EDMs are one of the most accurate machine in any machine shop and we incorporate these machines in many different applications as possible. Sinker (probe) EDMs are generally used for complex geometries where “line of sight” is not thru/straight or very small pieces where conventional milling is not practical or very difficult due to the hardness of the material, such as cast and heat treated tooling.
