AboutAlmor Group

Almor's unique capability has been created by bringing together a number of long established furnace engineering companies and specialist alloy fabricators.

Trading as the ALMOR Group, we routinely deliver the benefit of our “all round capability”. Today, ALMOR has UK factories located in Birmingham and Nottingham, both close to air, rail and road networks.  ALMOR’s Nottingham site incorporates a 3000 m2 factory facility. Management processes are to ISO 9001:2008 and cover all of ALMOR’s activities.

The site engineers are focused on maintaining vacuum and atmosphere furnaces and our team has been developed to deliver a skill set which includes: electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, combustion engineering, process control and instrumentation, refractory and vacuum system engineering.

Our site engineers are regularly certified to the meet all industry health and safety requirements where customer specific needs are often requested and provided e.g. HSS10 Site Approval at Tata Steel Strip Products.

Our alloy fabricators combine comprehensive in-house fabrication capabilities with process and metallurgical know how to achieve the best customer specific solutions. Alloy fabrications of up to 20 tonnes are routinely fabricated to the exacting QA standards of petrochem sectors. Jigs and fixtures for heat treatment processes receive the same careful attention regarding design and manufacture. Alloy’s frequently worked with include, Nickel Chromes, stainless steels, monels and superduplex stainless steels, all of which have specific welding process needs. These needs are achieved through fabricators being qualified to approved welding procedures.

Vacuum hot zone rebuilds are undertaken in-house at our Tipton facility in the West Midlands.. Our dedicated team of engineers have many years experience in fabricating CFC (Carbon Fibre Composite) parts.
