AboutEmpire Screw Manufacturing Company

Empire Screw Manufacturing Company was first started in 1945 in Chicago, IL. The company was founded by Peter Sparacio. After World War II, Salvatore (Sam) Sparacio joined the business and became a partner.

Antoinette (Pete and Sam's mother) also worked in the factory. Fond family memories are enjoyed of the early days when Antoinette was running the centerless grinder. Everyone understood the importance of making quality parts and holding tolerances. The two brothers enjoy telling the story of how they would find parts their mother had made in their pockets when they came home for the day and did the laundry. She never wanted them to know that she had made a bad part, wasting material and costing the family money.

In 1962, Empire Screw moved to Villa Park, IL where it is still manufacturing high quality CNC turned parts and screw machine products.

Today, Empire is run by Pete Sparacio's daughter Toni Sparacio and Sam Sparacio's son Paul Sparacio. Toni and Paul both grew up in the factory in Villa Park. They remember well playing with their toys while their families ran the machines in the factory.
