Cold rolled steel is used in many products that we use everyday including washer & dryer units, refrigerators, and cars. Cold rolled steel is is rolled to its final dimensions below scaling temperatures. This increases the strength and hardness and decreases ductility. This also limits its ability to effect dimensional changes (versus Hot rolled).
