Robotic Welding Systems

Robotic Welding Systems

In an automated welding environment, Robotic Gas Metal Arc Welding (Robotic GMAW) is ideal because the power source itself adjusts the necessary parameters to ensure a good weld. The filler wire and conditional gases to shield against discontinuities vary based on need. Despite the flexibility of the GMAW process, this does not mean that translating this process into a robotic GMAW system is easy to design and implement. Many issues can still occur in automated GMAW applications.

The biggest challenges for Robotic GMAW systems occur when the system is utilized to weld metals which are good electric and heat conductors, like aluminum. The malleability of these kinds of metals can lead to sloppy welds, discontinuities, and an overall poor finished product. Our team understands that the success of the GMAW robotic system is dependent on many aspects including the power source, the wire drive, and the contact tip. Our team has experience controlling these factors and more to ensure your pieces are properly and precisely welded together, within tolerances, no matter what the material of the components may be in your application.

If you would like to make your GMAW process move faster with precise results, let us design a custom built gas metal arc welding robotic system for you. Our team has the experience and knowledge necessary to ensure the robotic system will meet your production standards.
