Applications

U. S. Steel Košice produces hot rolled products in coil, slit coils and sheets. Hot rolled structural grades are suitable for construction applications, for parts of thermal and power equipment, etc. U. S. Steel Košice has implemented and mintains a quality control system in accordance with the standard EN ISO 9001, as well as in accordance with IATF 16949 for automotive industry, issued by TÜV SÜD.

A part of the hot rolled products are manufactured in accordance with the European Parliament Regulation 97/23/EC, AD2000W1 and by the Ü mark for steels used in German civil engineering. Products delivered in accordance with EN 10025-1/04 (structural grades produced in accordance with EN 10025-2:2004) are delivered with mark of conformity CE.

Grades

The hot rolled products are classified into quality grades according to their chemical composition and mechanic properties.
