HISTORY
Cast Nylons Limited started from its humble beginnings in 1979, located in a 7,000 sq. ft. rented building in Wickliffe, Ohio.
The company was originally launched as a joint venture between John D. Thorp, a group of investors, and a cast nylon technology partner from Europe.
In 1987 Jack Thorp bought the company from his father and the investors. Jack has been vitally involved from the inception of the company where he was originally the General Manager of the startup.
Since then, Jack Thorp has invested in technology development, launching of new and advanced cast nylon formulas, and facility expansions resulting in the company becoming the largest cast nylon manufacturer in North America.
Currently headquartered in Willoughby Ohio, Cast Nylons Limited has expanded its operation to over 110,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing, distribution and casting operations in Willoughby, Ohio.
Cast Nylons de Mexico was incorporated and established in 2014 with a 10,000 sq. ft. Service and Distribution center in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
As we celebrated our 40th year in business in 2019, we continue to grow and expand our Cast Nylons footprint in new areas around the globe.
