OUR COMPANY
Conveyor Engineering & Manufacturing was established in a small shop outside of Shueyville, Iowa in 1977 by Joe & Donita Cone and Bill Djerf. The cornerstone of our success for over three decades has been our ability to provide a high quality product at a reasonable price in a timely manner by:
- engineering and manufacturing all products in-house
- reacting to customer breakdown situations as if they were our own
- providing outstanding customer service

1977
CEMC is established
Conveyor Engineering & Manufacturing was established in a small shop outside of Shueyville, Iowa in 1977 by Joe & Donita Cone and Bill Djerf. At this time the company was named Modern Fabricators and focused on making oil bath guards and custom fabrication products.
1980
CEMC moves to Cedar Rapids Facility
Now with 4 employees, CEMC moved to a 9000 square-foot facility in Cedar Rapids to accommodate the growing business. With this location being so close to the growing ADM corn milling plant CEMC was able to keep busy and continue its growth throughout the next few years.
1985
CEMC builds new facility
Continuing to grow and keep up with demand CEMC had now acquired 10-12 employees and required even more space. Moving just down the street CEMC built a new 22,000 square-foot facility that housed 20,000 square feet of space for manufacturing.
1990
CEMC Expands Manufacturing Plant
To keep up with business CEMC needed more space so they decided to expand their manufacturing plant – this allowed them to double it in size to 40,000 square-feet.
