Altasteel Ltd.

AltaSteel is a producer of rolled steel long products for the mining, construction, automotive and engineering industries. Based in Edmonton, Alberta the company operates steelmaking, hot rolling and heat treatment facilities and has an installed production capacity in excess of 330,000 net tons/year.

As raw material, we use in excess of 300,000 tons/year of scrap steel arising from Edmonton and greater Alberta, thereby contributing to the recycling of waste in our community.

We have been operating at this site since 1955, and with some 360 people in our team remain one of the largest employers in the region.
