There are occasions in which the propulsion of the shot has to be imperatively by means of pressurized air, and nevertheless the process does lend itself to automation, due to the repetitiveness of the geometry of the piece or due to the large volume of production, either by controlling the movements of the nozzle or the part to be shot easily in a single axis, as a complete control of the movements of the shot blast nozzle and the part by anthropomorphic robots.
