Tool steel is used to manufacture tools, molds and standard parts. We supply tool steel with highly individual properties for these diverse areas of application. This includes tool steel blocks with excellent polishing and graining properties, processed tool steel, precisely sawn blanks or products machined according to drawings.
Manufacturing process
To manufacture our tool steel, carefully assembled scrap is melted in an electric arc furnace. The cast ingot is forged either on a 60 MN or 27 MN open-die forging press, with prior refinement in the ESR plant if required. A special heat treatment and mechanical surface treatment round off the production exactly according to customer requirements.
