ELECTRIC ARC FURNACE (EAF) SPARES

Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) are used in melting and refining processes for steel production. The company develops spares that can be retrofitted in existing arc furnaces.

Our range of EAF spares includes hydraulic cylinders and pistons, power cables, rubber hoses, rubber seal kits, electrode holders, pressing jaws, bearing blocks, hard chrome plated pistons, sindyano insulations, cooling rings, roof rings, water cooled roofs, disc springs, water cooled panels, synthetic rubber hose with end fittings, control valves and contacts for tap changers.

Other EAF accessories include molten metal and slag pot trolley with wheels that are suitable for rail mounting, orange lead scrap and charging buckets.

INDUCTION FURNACE SPARES

The company manufactures spares for induction furnaces that are retrofitted in the existing arc furnaces.

The wide range of spares supplied by Doshi for Electotherm and other makes of induction furnace include water cooled cables, induction coil, flow switches, coil insulation materials, capacitors, hydraulics, magnetic yokes and cards.

Spares for ABB induction furnaces include water cooled cables, capacitor, power cable, coil and coil insulation materials, flow switches, electrical and electronic parts, transformers, hydraulics, carbon free rubber hose pipe and magnetic yokes.

We also supply the following accessories:

  • Induction coils for induction furnaces up to 20t capacity
  • Crucibles with tilting stands up to 20t capacity
  • Scrap charging buckets
  • Complete new induction furnaces

LADLE REFINING FURNACE (LRF) SPARES

Ladle Refining Furnaces (LRF) are used to desulfurize steel, remove other impurities and hold the molten steel for casting operations. Large ladles are used in most metal-melting operations to transfer molten metal from melting furnaces to refining or pouring stations.

The LRF also acts as a buffer between the steel making furnace and the continuous caster, reducing casting costs and allowing greater flexibility in steel making operations.

Ladle refining furnaces are used for the following refining processes:

  • Homogenization
  • Inclusion flotation
  • Desulfurization
  • Vacuum degassing
  • Decarburization
  • Dephosphorization

ABOUT DOSHI

Mr JV Doshi, who had ten years of experience with arc and induction furnace projects, incorporated Doshi Associates in 1984. Our manufacturing facility located at Baroda in western India includes the most modern state-of-the-art machine and fabrication shop equipped with the latest welding and brazing equipments. Our material handling facility has a capacity up to 20t.
